Does anyone know if mirrors from an SVT focus will work on 2007 focus? Thanks.

yes they will I have an 05 ZX5 and I just bought Heated Folding Power SVT mirrors today for my ride. I can't wait to get them painted and mounted.

now are you looking just to have the look of SVT mirrors, because you can paint the cap to look exactly like it (same mirrors ith minor differences like finish/paint)

the differences that I saw were

Standard factory side mirrors

Dull plastic finish
Most are power, some manual
Non-Folding

SVT

Polished Black finish
Painted Front Cap
Power
Folding
Heated

And I know the ST mirrors are like the SVT and there are some others that had other options but the overall standard mirror is what I pulled the info off of.

Well I wanted the svt ones cause they look better than the cheap black ones that mine came with, and cause they can fold. Eleanor Focus, did you have to buy any extra electrical wires to get the heated mirrors to work, or did your SES already have that option?

The SES does not come with heated mirrors, but when I plugged them into the power mirror wiring and turned my defrost on they heated right up:thumbup:

From what I understand, if your car came with power mirrors, the defrost wire is already hooked up and ready.;)

unfortunately this didn't work out for me and my 2002 ZX3. i had power mirrors and just upgraded to heated mirrors, but the wires for the heater are not installed already.

has anybody added the wiring for the heaters? in theory it shouldn't be hard, but in reality trying to run them through the doors, dash to the fuse box doesn't sound like fun.

I would like to know if anyone did this too. I have SVT mirrors and it's not hooked up to heat. I know there's a wire near the dead pedal that goes to the defrost. I accidentally broke it with my shoe and the rear defrost LED wouldn't go on and the defrost was very weak on the window, reattached and it works like new, so I think that it could be wired through that. The only problem is getting the connectors inside the plug itself.

What about those of us who only want the LOOK of the SVT mirror? I don't care about power or heat. Folding would be nice, but not a deal breaker. I've been waiting to replace a broken mirror until I have an answer to this question.

It's cheaper to get the SVT ones....
There are manual ones with the paintable cap that looks like the SVT mirrors, but they are only available in europe. You could get a set, but shipping would be really expensive and not worth it.

I've done it, but then again, I converted my manual windows/locks/mirrors car to power windows, locks, mirrors.

Just go to a local electronics/computer supply house and by small male pin connectors (I think the one's I used were from old 9-pin serial port connectors), then tin the end of the tire, clamp the connector on and solder for good measure.

as an FYI, the pin for heat for the rear defrost is pin 10 on the driver door interior pigtail (or the top connector if you have a 4/5 door model) and pin 14 for the passenger door, and they both get wired to the rear window defrost switch, with you tap into at pin 68 at the rectangular electrical connector behind the driver lower kick panel.

cheers guys,
