There are a few issues with the snorkel/MAC combo. Without the engine to draw air through the snorkel (as in the stock sealed system)the snorkel must rely on forced air from the grill area to flow anything through it. Because the MAC maf/filter bracket basically blocks any direct flow of air that makes it through the "stand alone" snorkel, any benefit would be quite minimal. Do yourself a favor though...with the cooler winter temps ahead...keep your MAC for then..
As far as working with a snorkel goes, one could holesaw a hole in the MAC bracket, run tubing from the snorkel exit through the hole in the bracket, and affix the tubing end to the end of the mac filter...atleast then the snorkel will get an assit in drawing air through it...and help with the hot air problem inherant with the MAC. Just a thought.
