i heard if you dont have a factory sway bar u cant put on an aftermarket sway bar . . . i saw a guy in the new products forum selling some brackets for those of us without factory sway . . would i need that? . . . . . .

i have an 06 zx3 . . .any info? . . .

yes you would need those brakets. i personally have never used then, but they look really simple to install and that will make a big difference in the car

They are relatively simple to install, as for the 06 ZX3, do you have a S or SE model if you do then you DON'T have a rear sway bar. If you have the ST or the SES model then you do have a rear sway bar. What type of bar are you thinking of installing?

You can either do the brackets, Or replace your rear crossmember w/ an older model.
:)

I Was Thinking . . . If The Ses Or St Already Come With The Sway Bar, What Am I Missing That The Ses Does Have, A Different Cross Member . . . Does Their Cross Member Have The "holes" Or Whatever ? . . .

The crossmember has some brackets that the bar fits into, they are welded onto the rear suspension tubular member. While you can replace the whole member (its about 250 new...) it is ALOT of work. Anyways good luck

I have about 12k miles on a SVT suspension with the SVT rear sway bar. I've used a 20mm, 21mm, 22mm, and a 25mm bar now. The 25mm bar tends to swing the rear end around....alot.
good luck

body roll doesn't actually hurt cornering much. in fact, if your car were being driven by a machine (or maybe the stig), throwing away the swaybars wouldn't slow your cornering speed at all.

the main drawback of body roll is that it freaks out the driver. as a result, the driver slows the car. the reason a bigger swaybar gives a better lap time is because it gives the driver some courage.
