since there really isn't an "electrical" forum, i guess ill just post this here,
im prepping a rally car and would like to create a little control panel with various switches,
i was thinking about hooking a switch up to the fuse box for the ABS as well as the fuel pump, and wiring that in the car, so i could use the switch to enable/disable to fuse and be able to kill ABS or the fuel pump from inside the car.
im also planning on installing a battery kill switch, and i wanted to just bring the battery ground into the cabin and install a switch for the ground.
much safer bringing the negative into the cabin and using that for the disconnect.
the only problem would be if the car is running, and i kill negative to the battery, the car will still run due to the alternator, right? so to be effective you would have to bring the alternator-->battery connection into the car and tie that to the kill switch.
has anyone else done this before, and what other kill switches might be a good idea?
thanks,
