i just installed my tach and hooked it up using the tach adapter and everytime i shut my car off the tach stays at the rpms it was at when i shut the car off it doesnt drop to zero i dont think thats normal how can i fix it?

If it's an Autometer, I have seen that happen on all of them I have used on Race cars.
