when i turn on the headlights at night, my driver side liht doesn't come on but the reverse and blinker and brake light do. what gives?

Those bulbs have two filaments. One for running and another for when you press on the brakes or turn on the blinkers. That primary fila might be broke, but the secondary one for brakes might not be. Just get some new bulbs.
