Tallest Tire??

I bought my 18" Konig Absolute wheels from Discout Tire Direct. They are 18" X 7.5" They recommended 215/40 Neo Geo's. I still have the stock suspension. However, they seem to be rubbing. The plastic "nubb" at 12 o'clock is wearing away. Is anyone else running 40 sidewalls?? Should I go get 35's?? Thank you
