OK I am now on my 3RD! focus and it wont start! I just moved it into the garage to wax it, then go to move it out and it wont start!
The fuel pump was going crazy the motor wont turn over at all and the only lights that come on are the airbag and oil light!
car has 4000 miles on it.
I HOPE this is something minor but from what the car is doing I am afraid it is not.

well, you're on your 3rd focus because you wrecked the other 2, not because of malfunction.
dude I have a 2000 focus and my bro has a 2002 and we NEVER had a problem, we never had to go back to the dealer.

My battery failed with similar symptons to what you are discribing. Get a jump or put a charger on it. If it happens again, take it to Ford for a warranty replacement.

Join the club!! It's called "the I'm never gonna buy a Ford again because they always break club" club! Wanna Join?

P.S. I have a '95 Probe is bad when the car shakes violately at 50mph? J\K but it really does, the axle is ready to go.

You'll have to excuse me, but when I hear stories like that I really have to wonder. I am not particularly easy on my car and it has performed fantastically, as a very early 2000MY model. At nearly 68,000 miles, I have no squeaks and rattles and have had very few problems, and those have been minor.

May'be its really just luck on my part....?

Do the battery thing, reset everything, open your fuel cap, oil cap. Open all the caps you can find, antifreeze, power steering. Give it a second. Try try again.

Did you just wash the car or the engine? Maybe let it dry out a bit.

When I'm doing mods to my car, like the back seat lights or the lock button LED mod, my car hesitates, because I've had the lights on and so forth, drains the battery. Just give it a second and try to start her up.

I have the exact same car as you, a Mach Audio. I've never had a problem. I hope your's is okay.

First of I did not wreck 2 foci 1 died right away (tranney died oil leaked at 50 miles), and was replaced by the second one. That one had no major problems but lots of little ones (almost EVERY part of the car had a dent or scratch in it from the dealer) and I think the tranney was starting to go because you would hit the gas, the engine would rev up, and then the car would suddenly go into gear and go (it's was an auto!) non of which were ever fixed when the car finally had a crash. and on top of that it wasn't a high speed frontal crash, it was a medium speed side impact, yet the front airbags went off. (or did the airbags go off and then I crashed?)

As for today, it was the battery, it died. I *think* they replaced it but I'm not sure. They said they weren't sure why it died but the charging system seamed fine.
what happened: I started the car about 1 hour ago, let it run for a little wile, then pulled into the garage and shut it off, removed the key. I then cleaned the outside (trim, windows) then when I was done with all the outside stuff I put the key back in it so I can clean the top of the windows where they touch the rubber seal. Then all of a sudden I here my fuel pump going crazy. I Pull the key out right away and then wait a minute. I then go to try and start the car. the interior dome light starts flashing on and off, and NONE of the gauges light up except the airbag and oil light. The fuel pump is turning on (normally now) but the engine was not trying to turn over. (I also did check the fuel pump off button just in case) I just want to know what could have caused the battery to just die like that, I mean I know its cold out but come on the car is BRAND NEW! I just hope this was a 1 time thing and not a sign of things (electrical problems) to come.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">because some of us HAVE had problems with their cars, a transmission going out, brakes going in under 20K, the friggin dipstick broke, 11K in damages on a relatively light wreck, second transmission slipping within 5K of replacement, POOR TRANSMISSION DESIGN....

I'm just frustrated with the car in general

I'll join that club too, I will never buy another Ford again. It's just sad how most these people have all these problems, and the one or two who get lucky, well keep bying Fords eventually you'll know what we are going through.
