Your ATX is overheating or the filter is really dirty, try replacing the filter first, << probably the most likely cause. If that doesn't fix it then Take the car to the shop.
the ( ! ) light...
driving home and it came on twice. the car kinda surged both times, and it was on afterwards for 2-3 seconds. all the manual says is if it comes on, take it to the dealer. i'm gonna try to go see somebody tomorrow, but does anyone know what might've happened or what i may be in store for?

check battery cable, sounds more like battery post isn't tightened well..
