There is an article on that mazdaspeed miata in my new MotorTrend. It says the car is a go and will have turbo boosting it to 180hp. And I think some suspension stuff.

you mean you can't drive wtih the top up if you're 5'11 or taller? THere goes my plan for a late-model JRSCed Miata...AGH

I've driven a Miata with the top up and I'm 6'3. Headroom wasn't as bad as leg room. I still had a few inches of clearence between my head and the top, but my legs felt a little cramped, but I got used to it pretty easy. I wouldn't mind having one for a "fun" car, but I don't know if I could live with it everyday.

Not bad cars...too bad I can only get one foot in one
WAY too small for me. But I do understand they're good cars. I'd gut the interior on a hard top & make it full race, thenI'd feel ok

your right....

the miata is a blast I own 2 of them as well as my ZX3.

I know of one Miata with the JRSC running 8lb of boost they are getting 210 RWHP. up from 110 stock... the car is a good match for the JRSC. I wish the focus did as well with it but it does not seem to be from what I can tell.

the balance of the miata is awesome. 40lbs diff front to rear.

Well, except for the fact that I had to drive it with the top down--I'm 5'11--due to the claustrophobia factor.

you can get a hard top for miatas, they're required in the Spec Miata race series if i'm not mistaken.
