So you're looking for a cheap beater car that you won't care about, that requires significant upgrading to suit your highly refined tastes....a heap of mess that you expect to dislike completely and will drive as little as possible. And you think that my car might fit your description. Well, for starters you could go **** yourself.

:dunno:

lol. The truth hurts, I guess? That's cool, I didn't expect you to provide anything legitimately helpful, anyway, even though you could.
If that's the insult you make at a Fiesta, I'd hate to hear what you'd have to say about the OG members here who still own and love their Focus. No one is suggesting they're Ferrari's, but the insults and condescension are far from necessary, and highly indicative of the regard/respect (lack thereof, rather) you have for the members of this forum.

You would fit in far better in another forum where a bunch of other pretentious snobs like yourself (and no, that's not an insult, it's a statement of fact at this point) would be more than happy to revel in their upper-middle income and scoff at the those they look down their noses at with you. Honestly and truly, it would be the best fit. Why? Because it's a LOT easier to get legitimate help from people you aren't insulting when you ask.

I see the issue with Hockys statement, as minute of a problem as it is.

Pardon me if I don't get butthurt about someones personal opinion about a car. It's not a big enough deal to whine and cry about. If he went on a huge rant talking smack mercilessly maybe it would be different. Some people on here just want to bitch and get their $.02 in, regardless what the topic is. I don't take a rocket scientist to see through the occasional backhanded statement and brush it off.
You're right. It doesn't take much effort to brush off the occasional backhanded statement. It takes even less effort to not make them in the first place...and yet again less effort to not make them regularly over the course of years.

Oh, I didn't get the leather, forgot to mention that. I've never been a big fan of leather in cars. Sure, it looks nice, but it's a bit of a waste in my personal opinion. I agree, though. The cloth in the Fiesta feels better than the leather does...especially in the summer.

And Blownstang, I think we can both agree that N&D is a different game altogether.

Then you've obviously never dealt with car seats. A car seat occupies a whole lot more space than a grown man, especially rear facing. The focus was uncomfortably tight and there is no way I would want to be in the situation with the Fiesta.
Odd...I've never had any issues with my nephew's car seats fitting in the car. (Same goes for my sister's Cobalt, and her boyfriends Scion tC) Then again, perhaps my nephew's car seats just aren't as upscale as your car seats. My sister did mention something about finding them at a store called "Bottom of a Barrel Car Seats"...so that might have something to do with it. :dunno:

And Smurf...well played, sir! :lol::thumbup:

If your car seats barely fit in one of the largest sedans on the market, you need to get new car seats. That, or just buy a pickup truck and bolt the rugrats to the bed.

Yeah, my friend leaves the windows open on his 911 GT3 and the top down on his f430. He's equally careless with his GT2 RS. He takes extremely good care of his collection of restored VW buses though...won't even park them in the sun.

Gotta love the quality moderation on this site. lol
Indeed. I'd love to see them get a little more strict.

If I had EVER posted anything that was bs, you guys could have all the fun in the world with that one. But since I haven't, I have to conclude that you're just sad kids struggling for a better life. I understand.
I thought we were showing off cars that belong to people we know? Is that not the game anymore? That one was fun. I mean, who wouldn't want to prove how cool they are by telling people what kind of cars their friends drive?

And to keep things accurate, I'm hardly struggling. I may not choose to spend my money on stereos and cars...but whatever. I buy things that make me happy. Besides...my fortune cookie just told me that I "...have the makings of a winner." Do you have a fortune cookie that says you have the makings of a winner? I didn't think so. Suck on that, Cochise.

Oh...I get it...you weren't bringing up an expensive car that you know someone who knows someone that owns one so you could look cool by proxy. You were bringing up an expensive car that you know someone who knows someone that owns one so you could look cool by clowning it.

Well...either way, you totally succeeded, Fonzarelli.

Like I told you before when I drove the Fords, the Fiesta is way to small for me. I enjoyed the Focus though if it won't work with the car seats, it is what it is. Haven't driven an Elantra, but they are nice from the outside. I second checking out a Fusion or one of the cars based off it like the Mystique. I had one for a rental, it was really nice, drove very well. Not sure about the car seats though.
If his epic car seats barely fit in an E-Class, then he's pretty much douched out of 90% of all other sedans on the market.

You keep talking about blending, but I'm still not sure I know what you mean. Blend in to what? BMW's and Benz' blend in just fine in my neighborhood...as do Elantras, Fiestas, Foci, and whatever other car people drive. Perhaps San Diego is different...people kind of just drive what they want out here and most don't really seem to care what blends or doesn't blend.

I mean, clearly a Lotus Elise or a H1 Hummer don't blend...but you know what I mean.

So what are you looking to blend into? The ghetto? White suburbia? Downtown living? Chinatown?

A 1 series doesn't blend in anywhere.
Well, It's been a long time since I've been to Indiana, so I can't really speak from experience there...but in San Diego and Las Vegas, a 1-Series is just another car on the road. Perhaps out there BMW is still a status symbol. :dunno:

That still leaves the question on what it is you're trying to blend into. Maybe try a minivan. They blend into things. Ooh...you could try this:

No one will ever see you sneaking up on them...AND there's room for rugrats.

I live and work in an area with quite a bit of wealth - BMW has nothing to do with it, 1 series does. It is a rare-ish car that has "quirky" styling. It doesn't matter where I go, someone is asking about that "cool little sports car." Ultimately, I am not asking your opinion for what will blend in. I have defined what I am looking for. Maybe, like you like to say, you should go back and reread.
You already discarded all the possible options you were stated you were interested in. Since then, all you've said is that you want something that "blends in" and can fit massive car seats. If they barely fit into a luxury full-sized sedan, then your options are extremely limited when it comes to cheaper cars. Clearly you don't have any interest in the cars you brought up, you want the car to blend in to an area with "quite a bit of wealth," and you haven't really given much else as a suggestion.

Are you open to SUVs, crossovers, minivans, four door trucks, luxury hybrids? People have suggested the Fusion (which may well fit the bill...that or the Lincoln variant) At this point, with all the attempted help, I'm not sure what else anyone can do to help you. It's almost like you don't even want help now. You say you want help, but I honestly and truly have no idea how to help you.
