I get a ticking type noise when tuned to any AM radio station. The ticking does not speed up if I rev the engine or drive faster, it stays at a constant ticking speed. when the engine is off it works fine.
Could this be a bad noise filter in some part of the engine compartment or a part in the radio?
Could this be a bad ground?

I know. Why AM? In New Jersey 1170 is a great 60's oldie station 880 and 1010 are news stations.

This actually may be a fault with the head unit itself. Or the antenna.

AM interference happans on all foci with stock radios as far as I know. Usually only when the turn signal is on though. My theory is that its because the flasher module is right above the radio and there is insufficient filtering in the stock unit.
