I haven't heard of any reliable way, other than documentation of replacement, to determine whether the t-belt is safe. Age an well as mileage will cause belt deterioration.Lacking documentation, the best course is to factor the cost of replacement into the purchase price. Good luck, please keep us posted.
X2, they can often look perfect and spit teeth out in the next 5 minutes. Owner not knowing means he does but won't tell you he didn't do it. SVT bends valves with that so if not running you know why.
