I'm about to buy a set of brake pads and rotors from Tire Rack but I have a problem. For the pads, are they sold in pair or individualy, I mean if I need to change my front brakes, should I put 2 in quantity for the pads ??

Unless clearly specified otherwise, you would be buying a set for the front (or rear) of whatever car. I ordered up a set of Mercedes E300 pads a few weeks ago (along with rotors, all from Tire Rack) and the quantity of "1" did in fact result in a complete set for the front. Good luck and don't forget to flush the brakes while you're messing with them!

Put in 1 for quantity. Quantity = all the pads necessary to do 1 axle.
