i have a stock zx3 with the stock 16in rims. i want to put the biggest tire under there but dont want it to rub. i also may drop it with the FK springs soon but not sure. i really want a 215 under the car but dont know if it will work so i have to ask the pros

The stock 16" wheels are only 6" wide, and have a really conservative offset.

Basically they have tons of clearance in any direction.

I used to run 225/45-16s on my stock 16"s with miles of clearance. I would not repeat that, however, as the 225/45-16 didn't fit the 6" wheel very well.

Once lowered, the offset still gives you a ton of clearance. I can see a 215/45 or 215/40 fitting just fine... 215/50 perhaps.... though all of those three options will skew the speedo a tad.

im not to worried about the speedo cuz it already off. when i bought my car the previous owner put on 205/55/16. i think i might go with the 215/45 but i dont know yet. i have to check out my options also i need to run all seasons. i cant afford winter tires.
