Here you go

This of course is under load which I assume You're looking for...
1st: 40
2nd: 67
3rd: 90
4th: 111
5th: 134
6th: 134

Depends on tire size.
Check out this site. Fill in #'s and it will calculate for you.

The reason i was asking is that i was on a friends farm in fl. (CLOSED COURSE) and I broke 100 MPH in 3rd gear.
i was like holy sheeit.
It was a long level road no wind and now elevation change.

Keep in mind your speedo is probably off by at least 5-7 mph at that speed. I am pretty sure mine is about 5 mph off at 75 mph or so.

Yea 100 in 3rd is a little high...I dont think I've ever seen over 90.
for the FSVT I figure 91.32 @ 7000 and 95.233714 @7300 in 3rd with 225-45-17 Since rev limit is 7300, I would think that is about all she'd do in third. If we use stock 215/45-17, I figure 86.37 @ 7000 or 90.071571mph @ 7300. Close enough for fun, but I think you would need fourth to top the C mark. n'est pas?
Car is definately capable of more than 134 in 6th. The 134 top speed is only drag limited not hard governed.
Still it was at about 102 when i let it off
take of 5, even 7 still at 95.
It really impressed me.

Oh yeah I know, It could probably pull 170 mph if the car wasn't under load, but that would never happen on the road with drag.
Speed in each gear with stock 215/45 17 Conti's at the 7250 rpm revlimiter. Not taking into account the tire diameter growth with speed increase.

1st 41.4 mph
2nd 68.3 mph
3rd 94.2 mph
4th 114.9 mph
5th 138.7 mph
6th 169.8 mph

I know that my speedo is off by 4mph at 70 and can only guess how much more optimistic it is by 120. I have seen an indicated 100mph in 3rd but I know that the revlimiter is right on at 7250 rpm (seen it shut down on the dyno) and the basic math says that I cann't go 100 in 3rd without going past the limiter.

I figured closer to 93 with Contis, but hey, close enough
Conversely (Nikely???)
, I figure you'd have to be turning about 7660 rpm -give or take 5 rpm- to hit 100 in third.....

Sorry, not by much.
Physics wins out every time.
Figure cofD for our car is 0.36
It shows about 25 sq feet (less than 5 tall x about 5 wide) frontal area
Ponder this
If weight with driver is 2900 (optimistic)
Assuming no wind and 32 lbs of air in tires:
we would need 60 hp to maintain 100
104hp to maintain 120
132hp to maintain 130 and
148hp to maintain 135, and that is about where the real wheel hp for the SVT peters out. 6th gear would probably actually be slower than 5th as you would be hard pressed to exceed 5600 rpm in 6th (max torque), as you would be at 7000 (max HP) in 5th at 135 and a shift to 6th would have you at 5600 rpm (max torque), but out of horsepower.
Torque is maxed out and dropping, and horsepower is no where near max (170 @7000 at crank)= no more acceleration

Funny, I seem to have 0 rwhp

He said real wheel hp not rear wheel hp. I had to do a double take myself.

I was really surprised by what the speedo said when i saw it go above 100.
Sounds like either i had some wind behind me or my speedo is really way off. Is there a way to get that checked out?
I bounced the rev limiter once in 3rd, and my speedo was right at 100mph (at least it looked like it through the blurred vision induced by hitting the hard-limiter "wall".
).

According to those roadside radar trailers the cops place everywhere around here, my speedo reads ~5mph low at an indicated 60mph. So I guess that agrees with the calculated speed vs. gear. 100mph indicated is probably more like 93-95.

I was on a highway one night and *ahem* exceeded the posted limit a bit.

This car will surely hit 135. I was going like mad, shifting at redline each time, not paying much attention to the speedo ( I had something else attracting my attention, the kind of thing that you only watch the road the tach and it for )I was rowing through the gears, up from 2nd, I pretty much "lost track" of what gear I was in, upshifting from 5th at redline again, althought it didn't seem like I was in 5th, probably because this was the first time I ever took the car to redline in 5th gear. When I did pull my attention from the thing I happened to notice the speedo, it was pegging 135 with more to go. The engine speed was right about 5500, and the needle was SLOWLY going down. I let off at 135 but again I really believe the car could go faster.

It does. I now realize how crazy and stupid that was, so I don't think I'm ever going to try that again.
