My valve cover gasket is letting go so i ordered a new one from fordparts.com. The work is fairly easy i hope but i dont know the torque specs on the valve cover bolts? Can some one help me out please?

newton meters your torque wrench should have it on there

The cover is torqued in 2 stages, first stage 2 Nm(18 in/lb) and second stage 7 Nm(62 in/lb).

Hope this helps.

i just had my valve cover off again
i screwed all the bolts in barly tight
then i just snuged them down in a criss cross pattern

its just a plastic valve cover

The guy was asking for the specs, so I gave them to him.

As for "it being just a plastic cover." It is a large composite piece with a rubber seal. Those require equal torque to promote proper sealing. Every nut, bolt, fastener has a torque spec for a reason.
