I took my 2002 SVTF into the shop today for some warrantee work. Primarily for a sticking fuel guage, but also because the front tires had some very excessive wear on the inside shoulders, down to the cord
. In fact, the left front tire went flat on the way in.
The wear pattern is not the typical one caused by the negative camber of the SVTF. This was almost entirely on the sidewall, and about 1.5" wide. The good news is that Ford is replacing the tires
due to a TSB on the rear suspension (the tires had been rotated), and the dealer is saying that's what started the wear to begin with. Fine with me, I just hope they're right. Has anyone else had this problem or hear of this TSB?
