For those of us that do not frequent the KC area, are there directions to this place? I may be able to dip out from school early and make this meeting.

Interstate 70 from columbia, MO, towards kansas city. In Independence, MO (before KC), You'll take I-435 South. It's a cloverleaf right after the I-435 North Exit.

I-435 forms a giant loop around KC, so you'll stay on I-435 and it will eventually peel off the left 2 lanes (watch out for this!) almost like a left lane exit. You'll go on a long sweeping overpass that becomes I-435 WEST.

Keep going on I-435 West for a few miles until you get to State Line Road.

Exit on state line road, go north (turn right since you're coming from the east) about 1 block and Gates BBQ will be on the west (left) side.

West I-70,(118 miles of pure bliss) to I-435 south, exit 8a, toward Wichita. 13 miles. Take State Line Road, exit 75b, toward 103rd St, 0.2 miles. Turn right onto State line road, 0.3 miles. End at 103rd and stateline Rd. (2 hours and 1 minute, and 132.88 miles).
