Turbos / Intake / Engine management by Incon
Guys, I have run the subject of this new thread by the board founder and obtained his permission to do some market survey work here.
Incon Systems is the world's largest aftermarket manufacturer of turbo systems and related parts to suit gasoline engines. Our head office is in Melbourne Australia and we have sales / distribution centers in various places around the world, including Orlando, Florida. ( currently our smallest, but growing fast!).
We currently manufacture and sell in our own name, systems to suit the Mustang and late model F Body. We manufacture the system which LPE uses on their Corvettes( currently the fastest street legal cars in the US) and are finishing up development on a system for Hennessy Motorsports, for the Viper.
We are interested in the Focus, because of its world wide applicabilty.
We do NOT make cheap bolt ons. No disrespect to companies who do, but it is just not our business. We have interest in potentially building the following:
1) A turbosystem, released for approx 200HP on a stock engine, however with sufficient capacity to go to 300HP, with complimentary engine work.
2) An intake manifold, with reduced bottom end torque,( relative to stock), in order to improve top end HP and provision for the mounting of auxillary injectors.
3) An auxillary ECU, with ignition curve modification capability, control of auxillary injectors and programable boost control, amongst other features.
Any and all comments appreciated, but specifically the following:
1) Expected price?
2) Expected performance?
3) CARB E.O. number importance?
Thanks guys, we look forward to your responses, Dave
