I have kind of been wondering that as well, it does seem louder than it needs to be.

I've had several passengers remark how loud the turn signals are.

I just turn up the tunes when I'm by myself..

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">The clicker is an integral part of the turn signal stalk. You can make the sound quieter by removing the stalk and placing a piece of tape over the piezo-electric sounder. I guess a piece of gum would work too.

I did see a page that showed exactly how to do this fix, but since I have a 2000 ZX3 with the "quieter" clicker, I didn't bookmark it.

Keep abusing your ears with load noise and you will like the SVT turn signals in a feww years.

 

i bought a silient switch off of ebay. there is no noise at all it was like $20 or some thing
