It's one of the best upgrades for the price. You should notice a decent increase, but don't expect it to add mass amounts of power. I added it with a Diablosport chip so I just noticed them together.

My first mod! and a definate recommendation for a starter!

The engine will respond a lot better with it... lil more power to the wheels. I definately felt it!

I've got no idea what you're trying to say here.

Oh god, not again
Where's ax0n when you need him? I've never personally seen the bottom end of a Zetec up close, but I've been led to believe that the crankshaft harmonics are internally dampened, and that the rubber ring in the stock crank pulley is only a "shock absorber", if you will, to even out any sudden sharp jerks that might come off the crank.

Com'on man, we have been talk about this over and over and over for the last 3yrs. Get over it, I have my UDP since 40k KM and now I am at 130k km. I don't care what theory you have about Harmonic Damp, I just know my car is still running strong(90k km or 54k milages w/ UDP). And I enjoy every single km I drove w/ my UDP.

I've been thinking about getting a UDP also, but my concerns were towards underdriving my accessories. If I get one, it would be the Esslinger. How bad does it underdrive things like A/C or I.C.E. ? Does it cause the interior/exterior lights to dim?
hey what did tom mean by harmonic damp (stock bottom pulley)
which pulley is that?

I agree, this unit has been on test cars for years now with over 75,000 miles and ZERO issues. We still are running the very first prototype that was made in early 2000 and everything is fine.

E-rock: The esslinger UDP is excellent, it's also sold by Ford (FordRacing). Paired up with the FC WaterPump and you can retain your stock belt.
