Well my car still has problems starting. And its not the battery or altenator. And to get it started I dont even need a jump just another battery, hook the other battery to the battery in the car and have the ground on the chasis or something to cause a few sparks and tada it starts. I ran a diagnostic on the car and it said everything checked out ok but obvisouly not. I think it could be a short some where, but where?

It's got to be your battery. It's not dead, but it's dying. If it was a short another battery wouldn't help your situation

Make sure your cables are properly tightened.

This happened once to my SVTF and it turned out to be just that.

My older car, a Taurus SHO, developed a similar problem that turned out to be a bad terminal... I'd start with what's cheap, work your way on from there.
