i have put a new head on my car and the crower stage N/A cams with the crower valave springs. my question is, is there a kit or anything to adjust the valve clearances or do the cam followers have to be machined to adjust this. i have asked a couple parts counter guys at the local dealerships but of coarse they dont seem to know anything.

I called ford and you have to buy individual tappets in varying sizes, no shims from them. Everyone I know that bought camshafts got the shims for free with them. Maybe contact the manufacturer for your cams?

Just do the math (which is simple once you do a couple) and have them machined. Very easy and inexpensive. Thats what I always do, tom will mill them for me for about $2 or so each. Any machine shop should be close.
