Finally found the article I was looking for on the stupid thing.

Its on my message board, im not posting it here as its a rather large article. if a moderator or someone would like to do so feel free.
http://pub51.ezboard.com/funitedescortownersboardfrm4.showMessage?topicID=94.topic

hope that makes sense, the article was made for saturns, but it applies to every car out there with a performance minded owner.

If this is true at least it will help people that are slow at stepping on the gas

.

I have one and I really like it. I am going to ask Jeff at Venom about this so that we can get another opinion from the source.

These Venom 400's sell very well. There has got to be somthing more to them than just an ilusion. If they are fake. Then.

I'm taking it to EBAY

Or I will see if I can trade it in later on for a VENOM PCN2000

I have on too, notice a difference with it off. I also turned it off at the track and noticed a loss of .2 tenths of a sec. in the 1/4 mi.

I follow suit on south's reply.

There IS a very noticeable throtle response diff. while the unit is activated.

The car responds faster to smaller amounts of gas pedal input.

Furhermore, the car virtually jumps when it is pushed to WOT in the 4K RPM boundary.

Again, this is NOT the only mod on my ride so there might be different responses to this application.

The only downside I've noticed is very poor MPG while activated with A/C on.

I had one on my Civic EX and was very helpful. Throttle response was amazing and the car felt alot stronger at the lower rpm's than it had before. I thought the Venom was a great buy. Made a big difference with performance but at the same time fuel economy suffered as a result but that is to be expected. I have a review on it on my website if anyone is interested.

having dynoed their products and i'm sure you've seen the sport compact issue with the black civic in last months issue (gone south) well shaun was "sponcered" by venom, he has the 400 and their nitrous controller/system.. a customers focus also had these items and not one of them made HP. the VCN never worked and the engineers came to the shop to attempted to make them work and after 3 different set ups and 2 full 10hour days on the dyno the engineeres at Python remanufacturing couldnt make them give a positive improvement.. their sticker was quickly removed from shauns car and the parts taken out of the Focus, after the nitrous solenoid FINALLy opend and wouldn't close nearly killing the car. they are smoke and mirrors and not worth your time, money or effort.

uum Mugen.. got any results that it made a measurable difference... i'm sure it did make a difference on the street cause his wallet is so much lighter.

a friend of mine that lives in Ohio goes here to dyno and tune his car... if they aren't close to you check out www.dynojet.com

Python remanufacturing and Veonom are the same company.. their reman units fuel pumps/injectors and stock ECUs are ok.. but thats all they are.. stock units cleaned up with a sticker on them.

What is up with all the anti Python injection people?

Of those who have posted there is 3 of us who have been long time Foci fanatics giving advice on the Venom 400 application for out rides.

Also I am glad to see some feedback from CTZX3 being that his Focus is one of the fastest ones on the jet.

I am going to call Python right now.

I talked to the guys at Venom they said to look for some up and coming information in car mags. Low Rider Magazine was one of them.

Why would a business that is legit risk losing there jobs and reputation by creating a faulty product.

I am a business major and it makes no sense to sell aftermarket products that don't work.

It is so easy for somebody to get on the internet and talk trash about peoples products.

Not to be rude to the newbees but I would take what has been said by actual users of the Ford Focus Venom 400 aplications into consideration.

I have had my car dynoed by not with the Venom 400. I took it off in order to have nitrous. This summer I will have my car dynoed again before I hit the track. Do you know how much they charge per hour in Findlay for a dyno?

This guy Shaun, who was sponsored by Venom have a website so I can look at his car or can I find some pics of his car somewhere?

im not saying its a faulty product, im saying that if you need to pay 300+ dollars to make your car think you're stepping on the gas harder, why not just buy some heavier shoes? same effect only one is slightly cheaper than the other.

As for being a "newbie" and bashing companys products. Im pointing out what is something to be considered before spending the money for this product. Im not saying its a bad product, im saying there are much better products that actually create power out there. Also as far as i know the focus is still powered by a modern combustion engine, as are alot of, well almost all cars on the road today. I dont have to be a focus specialist to understand the workings and controls of said combustion engine.

Welcome to the real world.
No one is considering the fact that some mods that don't add actual HP, can improve launch and drivability and hence result in better slip times (ie stiffer springs)
