SR Performance

I dug out my purchasing agreement to see when I took possession of my car.... FEBRUARY 2, 2007!!!! Cypress Coast Ford in Monterey, Ca. I'm eligible by 2 days, WOOHOO! lol

SR Performance (formerly known as RDY4WAR)

It's a 2007 ZX3 5-speed that I bought new with 16 miles on it. I had zero intentions of modding this car when I bought it. I was looking for a compact daily driver that would be reliable and get great gas mileage. I fell in love with the car pretty quickly and drove it all over the place. I drove it up to Yosemite twice, down to San Diego, all over San Francisco, and pretty much anywhere my wallet could take me. In 2008, I drove the car from California to Texas and then 6 months later from Texas to Maryland on PCS moves with the military. The mod bug hit me then but instead of doing bolt-ons, I decided to go straight turbo. I installed the FSWerks stage 2 turbo kit in December 2008 with just 19k miles on the car and it's been a blast ever since.

I started out with the FSW turbo kit, Exedy stage 2 clutch, and FSW 2.25" exhaust for the first few years. The car dyno'd at 230whp/215wtq at 11psi with the stock intake manifold, stock head, stock cams, and stock transmission. In 2011 I started to mod the car more. I replaced the transmission with a built one with a FRPP torsen differential and 4.06 final gear. I also replaced the 2.25" exhaust with the newer 2.5" stealth exhaust from FSWerks, and I replaced the stock intake manifold with a modified Cosworth unit. That following winter, I replaced the stock head with a ported head with upgraded valve springs and Crane stage 1 cams. The car dyno'd at 285whp/230wtq with this setup. The only major addition in 2012 was the meth injection. In 2013, I added the custom cam setup that I'm having the tune dialed in on currently.

The turbo kit has been on the car for 5 years of the 7 years I've owned it. It has 90,800 miles on it with roughly 71,000 of those miles with the turbo. This car is not driven lightly. It has seen a lot of drag racing, as well as autocross. It's made several long distance drives halfway across the country. The car fits my personality of function over form. It's not the most stylish car out there but it drives great and makes great power. I was the first (that I'm aware of) to go 12.xx in the 1/4 mile with a stock motor 2.0L duratec with the stock intake manifold. In October 2010, I ran the car through the 1/4 mile at 12.94 @ 105mph with a 1.91 60ft (8.29 @ 86mph through the 1/8th mile). I backed that time up the following weekend at the World Cup Finals with a 12.93 @ 105mph pass in qualifying. This was done at the 230/215 power level with the stock transmission.

My future plans for the car are to build the motor, and upgrade the turbo shooting for 400-420whp.

2004 liquid grey zx3 bought in May 2005.

Its been through many changes, centering around auto-x, but also dabbling in TSD rally and rally-x.
Always I have strived to keep a sleeper look, that most would find pleasing, but only an enthusiast would notice the details.
Also, I'm a bit of a wheel whore, Currently sitting at 8 sets (for my 2 foci).
Currently running in FSP class for autox and with a widebody kit and meaty tires on the street.

I voted for thenorm. Because I love me a super meaty, flared auto-x hoon. :)
