Gary, i'll try to make it. do you know offhand the town / area it's in? finger lakes is about a 6 hour drive for me i think.

cool..it is just outside the town of watkins glen...on the very south end of lake seneca....they allow camping...if you guys are coming i can bring one of the monster tents and heat....

 

i dont think matt can make it he works sundays and we'd be racing till late afternoon then a 6 hour drive back...

gotcha...we race on saturday late, but no where near as late as lime rock..the sprint races will be in the morning w/o qualifying or practice...

 

If i go i'll bring my multimeter. and get that brace off the car. (the one for the battery under the hood). it's un needed weight

I was driving out to Philly on Sunday, maybe I should leave early Saturday? I'll have to do some checking. I remember now, the boss didn't want to leave until after the brown's game.

 

Oh, and there's a TT on Sunday I see.

How much would that cost my boss? I assume the $175 + $20 school fee?

Any chance I could instruct and not have to pay? (I currently instruct for PCA, BMWCCA, and AudiClub and have run the Glen before). Wasn't sure how EMRA works.

 

no, instructors are typically racers earning worker points..its not like nasa...we have to work one day for our points to count...its a 1/3 of a day for each time we instruct..easier than flagging for a whole day...i finished my requirements at lime rock on friday and paid to run it for practice (racers cannot earn points in the tt)

 

Not looking good for Mark and I.

There is a SCCA AutoX on the calendar for the 23rd, not optional for Mark to attend. Since he is my tow, its unlikely I will make it.

the glen is huge compared to slime rock...over 3 miles long...next to vir full, the fastest track we will race on this year..nice garage padock...real pretty place, overlooking the largest of the finger lakes...and i might have another 8 horsepower by the time i get there...ray at mcnews is going to reflash the car...

 

SCT Flash? you should dyno tune squirt gary, also maybe get an adjustable cam gear for the exhaust to pick up a couple horses... is that allowed?

 

it is allowed and i have it...we are allowed flash, orp, udp and cam gear...ray has found some extra power in a car similar to mine and is doing me a major favor by trying to coax a few more horsepower out of squirt...
