Weird noise, rear right suspension.

492 Views 2 Replies 2 Participants Last post by  Croc_Tease!
Whenever I make a hard left (even just normal driving sometimes) I hear a "knock knock knock knock" sound coming from the rear right suspension. It's only that side, the left side doesn't make this noise. Also, my right side in the rear is about 1" higher than my left.

Specs:
Intrax SVT springs
KYB AGX dampers
Eibach 25mm rear sway bar

sounds like your spring isn't seated in properly.

you can check this by looking at the lower control arm (where the bottom of the spring sits) and see if the end of the coil is fitted into the depressed area in the spring seat (this is also where a small hole is drilled for drainage).

if they're not installed precisely, this would make your car sit higher and also make creaking noises as the spring is allowed to rotate a bit as it compresses.

Could it come un-seated over time? When I installed it, everything was peachy. It's been on the car a while now.

I guess I'll strip the rear and check it out.
