Everything in the Sac area will be between $3.80 & $4.10. If you have an iPhone or Android, I HIGHLY suggest downloading the GasBuddy app or checking www.gasbuddy.com before leaving the house when you know you need to fill up. In the Rancho area, the consistently cheapest place will always be Costco (currently $3.81), but I'm not sure waiting in line for gas is something I want to do. Sam's Club will also be one of the cheapest - time to capitalize on those warehouse club cards. Safeway is generally a cheaper location as well.

GasBuddy FTW! I lucked out and paid $3.72 monday night, but I haven't seen it for less than about $3.84 since then.

Currently $3.83 at one particular ARCO, but the next cheapest is $3.87

"It's too bad cars don't drive on farts. Cause then gas would be cheap. you would just eat a lot of beans." Isaac - Age 10. My nephew. Then he sang "beans, beans, they're good for your heart. the more you eat the more you fart. the more you fart the better you feel, so it's beans, beans, for every meal."

93oct has been fluctuating between $3.60 - $3.80gal depending on where you go around here. When I got to Houston at the end of December it was about $3.40gal but apparently a tree fell on to an oil pipe in Somalia, or some other random place, and a 3man work crew had to be called out to remove the tree before it scratched the pipeline any more that it already had... so the price of crude is being affected accordingly.

It's $3.67 here in North Florida (went up like 10 cents overnight), last weekend when I was in Miami is was closing in on $4/gallon

Ugh.

I was paying about $4.05 for premium, but in the last few weeks gas has increased to about $4.25 for premium at Shell, Cheveron and 76. Summer gas prices are starting to kick in.

Leslie, Summer Gas Prices haven't even begun yet. :( 87oct will be well over $5.00gal by the time Summer Gas Prices get going.

Paid 4.39 just this morning for 89. Not looking forward to the summer surge...

luckly for me my new house is 2 miles from work. i'll hopefully be riding my huffy to work

You are so lucky. I am using 1.5-2 tanks a week right now, and I have no way to cut that down unless I stop showing up for work and/or classes.

The thing that bothers me the most is that the gas stations don't take the money out of my bank account right away. They do a $1 "pending payment" that stays like that for 3 or 4 days....sometimes over a week. So I'll check my bank account one day and just look at the balance and think "oh, I'm fine, I don't need to transfer money yet" and then 3 tanks will hit at once the next day and all the sudden I have $160 less than I thought I did  Now I look for pending charges before I make that decision

been there done that. my last commute was 40 miles one way. Fill up monday. Fill up wednesday night. Then friday night too cause i drove to auburn twice a week to that made for an extra 40 miles those days. Now its so nice.

I use a tank a week and I don't even try to keep my foot out of her. If I was interested in fuel economy, I wouldn't have put a supercharger on her. I get about 19 miles to the gallon and couldn't care less. I get much better gas mileage on the freeway; upwards of 26-30mpg, cruising at 3100. Since I rarely need to travel outside of the city, I get the city street mileage.

I'll pay the price to drive something fun. :)

Make your commute more like this then.

Nothing like making a great name for VW drivers. Oh well, the "average" mk3 owner is a douchebag, and the average mk1 or mk2 owner is an elitist that thinks they're driving a rare vintage.
