with my AEM CAI,bbk throttle,vibrant cat., and my soon to be FS race header. what would u guys recommand me setting my intake/exhaust cam gears at for best power/torque.

i know u guys will tell me to dyno tune it but if u guys can tell me what u set urs to with similar mods it'll save me $75-100.

Thanks, also what else would increase my power the most other than thaT.

as everyone will tell you...setting cams is differnt 100% of the time for all cars...

you care degreeing the cams for YOUR SPECIFIC car....because of the large amount of tolerances at the factory cams have been installed at various degrees....some perfect, adn not requiring any adjustment for max power...some requiring a few derees on both intake and exhaust..

you HAVE to go to the dyno to get them "dialed in" properly...

If I remember correctly, most people are in the negative when they find the right sweet spot. That differs from car to car though, so
you really need a dyno for that.
On the same day in the same weather,
(cool and wet) and similar mods,
I did -2 exhaust and Zero on
my intake cam. I gained 7whp and 8wtq Tuned on Toms dyno.
My buddy, also in a focus, lost power everywhere.
Dead zero intake and exhaust, that was his ultimate setting. Also tuned on Toms dyno.
To sum it up, you'll find that most people
are retarding to find their gains, and
every Focus is different.

Hey SilverBullit,I played with the ADJ C/G's
for about a month.For my 2001 mtx zx3 W/
cat-back+flex pipe,open element cone filter
intake,65mm t/b,70mm mafs,udp,Diablo or my
Superchip,plat plugs,S+D coil,and just about
all the Bolt-ons,
Intake=retard 1 1/2 degrees
Exhaust=retard 2 1/2 degrees

In about a month or so I tried six different
Advance and retard settings (and yes i only had
my Butt dyno to go by),august+sept weather.
With those settings MY Focus BUTT dyno'd at
Quicker+Better

Hope this helps
