i can beat or hang with most of the car that i have raced. but a lot of them will pass me after 90mph intill i getup to around 115-120mph then i start to catch up. what can i do to increase my accleration at high speeds.

Crower cams stage 2. There is a group buy right now and they are DAMN cheap. Improves Hp from 3000-7000rpm. These could give you and extra 20hp.

Cams alone won't do it. You need a high-flow cat, a better intake (Ice-Man perhaps?), replace the flex-pipe and get a good cat-back system first. Then I'd go with internals like crower cams and some cam gears.

I will guarantee you that full blown exhaust mods will not accomplish as much as a set of good aggressive camshafts. It doesnt free up horsepower, it makes it!

You can get the Crower cams for $280 in the groupbuy.

The exhaust and intake mods mentioned above would cost nearly $1000 dollars.

Remember were running around in a 2 liter 4's, freeing up restriction in our case isnt like putting straigth pipes on a 1/2 ton.

Just to add another example to my post, sorry.

There are quite a turbo cars running around with stock exhausts systems. We probably have a couple of AC stage 2's around here with out a catback.

In a turbo car there is huge need, in the AC case maybe 15hp, but on a virtually stock Foci I just dont think its a neccessity.

Sorry pulling a NAZ...

He already has an intake and full catback; Injen and HSK.

i would start with stage 2 cams and cai intake.
nitrous would definitely do the trick but if you do that, replace your clutch now!

Fully build your motor.....i.e. Get some nasty cams....and some JE pistons and bump compression...blueprint and balanced would help too....

On a side note...How is the Hiper exhaust workin for you? How does it sound? I thought about gettin one...just wanted to hear some opinions before I make my decision...Im stuck between the HKS or the Thermal....or possibly the Tanabe

Thanks

johns i have had the exaust for 2 months and i love it. it has a great low tone not ricie at all. the only problem is the angle that it comes out the back of the car it burned a spot in my bumper but other than that it only took about 30 min to install the hard part is getting the old exaust off the car
