Yes, the current ones do. I think the 2004 ones had the 2.3 Duratec, IIRC.

They claim higher HP and TQ numbers than a stock 2.0 Duratec, but I'm not exactly sure of what they do to get there, besides exhaust. I'm sure someone else has a better idea, and hopefully they'll post up in response....

I'm fairly positive Dracconix is right  It was mostly just a dressup package though :dunno:

they have 150hp then 230 with the 75 shot of nos 0-60 7.8 then with nos 5.8

The 150 number is approximate at tthe crank.

That would be in line with a d20 with intake/exhaust however.

I remember that the '04 2.3 version had a Saleen intake (which I've never seen for sale separatly) and a cat back.

Everything else is an appearance package.

The N2O setup was an option.

i didnt know the nos was an option i thought it all came standerd

for 25,000 i would have the fastest svt focus lol 11.5 1/4 mile or somthing crazy like that

Drum brakes in the rear.I thought Saleen did their car's from the ground up.I guess they missed that option on the Foci.Even the SVT has discs in the rear.Did
Saleen even beef up the bottom end for nitrous use?I'm thinking not.Anybody know the full specs on the car?

there man you want more go to saleen.com

They didn't beef up the bottom end, and as I remember reading (upon reading a dyno analysis) they even left the stock plugs in..rofl.

Even with the stock brakes and extra junk weight, they were still pulling braking times that were better than many of the MUCH higher priced cars they compared it to.

The thing I never liked about the Saleens was that they were advertised as "nitrous ready" yet your warranty disappeared if you used the nitrous :screwy:

Isn't that like saying if you own a WRX and use the turbo your warranty is toast.
That's one of the gayest things I've heard in a while. If Saleen put nitrous on it,
they should have upgraded the things that needed upgrading. The Lightnin' I
owned was done right from the aluminum drive shaft to the pistons and heads.
SVT rules and Saleen has lost "Sum" of my respect. Was the engineer drinking his
lunch?

I agree with Dwzx3fc. I thoguht Nitrous was illegal to use in every state, so how can dealerships sell a car that comes with nitrous? As for the warranty, Saleen put in the No2, not ford, so i can see the voided warranty part there. Subaru put the turbo in the WRX.

Duno, but i know of blown engine's as a result of nitrous.

I happen to be good friends with one of the engineers, I can assure you that you are wrong.

Here is the math:

GT Mustang = 25k, Saleen Mustang = 50k BEFORE you add the SC

focus = 15k, Saleen focus = 10k

Saleen would have no problem building a focus to the level that they do a Mustang, the problem would come in selling a 40k focus. There just isn't a market for that kind of car.

I believe they have had 3 different....

There was never a Zetec Saleen.

Why not? $35,000 and build it to keep up with an Evo aka Lancer or WRX aka Impreza. I could see a market for that. it's not like Saleen builds high volumes.

nitrous is perfectly legal in your car as long as its not hooked up... it can only be hooked up on the track.
and personally, i still think the warranty voidage thing is CRA. :screwy:

looks like a Zetec to me.......yeah, it's real....it was at the Saleen Booth at the 40th Anna. of the Mustang in TN in 04.

I noticed it had a black bumper support and under the hood....must not have been blue to start with. Also it has fog lights....never seen another saleen focus, or most other saleens, with fogs. they had a red one there as well, and it didn;'t have fogs.....
