Beings this is her first bra, I wouldn't spend that much. Stay away from VS until you break her in with a cheapie training model from one of the Mart's.

But really, I've had nothing but bad luck with hood bras/masks. They ALWAYS try to scratch the paint, and the rest of the car fades around it. I'd rather let a few paint chips add up and have the hood repainted every 6 months!

I hear about the playtex 18 hour all the time on TV you should try that one

But seriously, why not go with one of the clear bra's if your worried about protecting the front of the car.

If you're that worried about the front end, I would get a clear bra treatment first, and then get a black vinyl bra over that.

The clear bra is good because it's pretty invisible. Bad thing is it isn't as protective as a thick vinyl bra, but it should withstand normal daily stuff.

Vinyl is good because it's thicker than the clear stuff. As others have said, it will scratch. Plus, you have to take care of it e.g. letting it dry after a good soaking, etc.

I know that there's a shop around here who does the clear bra deal.
It's like a 1/4 inch plastic mask(?) that goes on the front, along with the head lights(you can have it yellow/blue/maybe some others).
They quoted my dad 500 for bra and tint for his 05 Solara.

You can barely tell it's there unless you go up real close.
