what kind of oil should i use on my jrsc svt focus?

i know i should use synthetic.If it helps i live in florida.I was thinking 10w-30? does that sound right

is castrol fine at 5-30 ? and in colder months is 0-20 ok with the jrsc? I didnt think the SC had any effect from the crankcase eral unless its the added temp pushing the 5-30 need

Why throw out perfectly good oil at 3000 miles? Unless you have MASSIVE blow-by or a leaky injector, even at 5000 miles, Mobil 1 will still be going strong.
I only say 5-30 because Mobil discontinued the 0-20 line a few months back.

If you can find it, use it


I ran mine Mobil for 7-8K and it was clean when it came out. Used a Bosch filter.

i would say mobile1 10W-30 fully synthetic... i been using that for a while with mobile 1 filter
Why 10W?

Go lower, your cold starts will love you.

My mobil stops heating up so fast at around 4-5k compared to 1-3k, and I'm pretty hard on my car. So I change it every 3k.
