the marcy has a big difference because it has a 3.5" section at the bottom.. but i think generally they all perform as well as the next one.. GENERALLY..
i made my own, short top section (like the marcy) and L at the bottom, all 3" tubing.. it performs very well. huge difference over stock.
really doesnt matter, i think walter has some really good deals on his intakes, so id get one of those

well i made the intake, that took like a day
installing.. the stock stuff is kinda a pain to get out cause theres some bolts in hard to reach places.. maybe 30min the first time.. the intake is easy to install. 5 mins or less. its like 5 clamps and a bolt.

Some things are worth the wait. And to be honest, anything that Marcy motorsport sells is definetly worth the wait. I would say that out of all intakes for the duratec, Marcy's intake gets the best praise. I got lucky and my cai showed up 5 days after i ordered it. It could take longer. I was extremely happy with the fact that Marcy uses a k&n filter and not a foam filter like others. I am very scheptical of them. But you make the decision. I would order, and wait for the Marcy intake!!!

It's still winter anyway. You should have one in time for spring.

I love my Marcy Intake. Really awoke the car and I still get great fuel economy. I just ordered a Marcy peformance shifter and expect nothing less then the quality of the intake. The wait is well worth the wait for his products!

I am new to this forum. I still am waiting approval from Ford on a Focus(really bad credit)

What you guys call the intake is raelly a Cold Air Intake. An Intake is the part on top of the heads. Not being a smartass but a tube with a filter on the end is not an intake.

Well, actually, in Modern "Import Tuner" language, it is an intake pipe.

An intake pipe, or tubing, that leads to a mass air meter and the the throttle body.

After the TB, there is an INTAKE MANIFOLD.

V8 guys call an intake manifold an 'intake'.

Just the changing of the language, that's all...

Uhh... welcome to [FJ] and all, but I think we all knew that a tube and filter is not the complete intake. What you're talking about is an intake port. The entire intake consists of the filter, all applicable tubing, the throttle body, MAF, intake manifold, and possibly the ports. There's much more to the "intake" than any single part.

Being a V8 Guy by nature, I had a hard time with the guys calling on the phone 5 years ago asking for an "Intake" for their Honduhs. Just wait until you start referring to your "Inlet Manifold" to make it clear in your own head.

Also we are about 2-3 weeks behind on intakes, but they are not nearly as far off as past batches.

Hey, Walter, what's the deal with all these nicer colors for the new intakes? I want deeper gloss and black couplers.

I'm a v8 guy also. Hence my screen name.. I didn't understand it at 1st here. People were calling them intakes and I started thinking Edelbrock,Trick Flow and Holley. I was like WTF is this stuff..lol j/k..

It's all good though this is a younger generation. Thing.
