I'm thinking of getting my head milled down about 0.030, I know this would raise my stock compression to about 10.5:1 but would it be work doing. How much gains do you think I'd get ?

Thanks

P.S. I did a search and couldn't find anything reasonable so I'm asking again !

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">I tried searching on this and came up with a bunch of different numbers for raising compression.

The local machine shop says that compression will raise by .3 for every .015 shaved. That means to raise it to 10.5:1 you would need to take off .045

Another post that I saw said that .030 will raise it by 1 point.

Where did you get your info about .030 raising it by .9?
