The Competitors
and the winner:
OmniFocus!
My Focus was assembled in June of 2000, making it 7 years old, and has been in my hands for six. I bought it used with 5445 miles on the clock. Within weeks I ordered autocross tires and started beating on it thoroughly. I've been in love ever since. Last I checked it had 114,4xx miles on it.
Right around late 2005, the mod bug hit REALLY hard and the car went through a fairly major transformation from daily driver to weekend backroads and track toy. I 've always tried to keep function before looks, with a few notable exceptions.
My future plans are to drive it... a lot. It only racked up about 3,000 miles from July 06 to July 07, mostly due to the time consumptive nature of large and expensive modifications on a shoe-string budget. I think the result has been well worth it, but I need to now enjoy the fruits of my work to make it all ultimately worthwhile.
Original Stockness... I bought the car in Oregon the day I moved to California. (July 2001)
My second track day, hot on my heels is the famous Murphmobile. (2002)
Taking on the MINIs at a ProSolo in 2002.
At the Alameda NAS by work. (The same place they film Mythbusters).. 2005?
Redline Time Attack in December 2006, first event with the PowerWorks.
July 24th, 2007: Paint!
