some chick owns the red svtf. and she isnt interested in her focus at all. goes into my buddies work all teh time for oil changes and car washes.
hey speedfeet what are you doing next wednesday around 7pm? there is a wheels and wings meet at the buffalo wild wings by the fox river mall.
i'm usually the only focus there. it'd be nice if there was more. (hint hint)

massive. there is no difference in balljoint between svt and standard zetec zx3. so the part should stil lbe cheap. all you need then is 05 calipers and rotors. which shouldn't be too hard to come by.

In 05, there was. 05 and up cars came with beefier ball joints. 06 and 07 had the bigger struts, hence why Im looking for an 05 car to trade with.....
the size of struts did not change. the mounting point in the knuckle did. on zetec cars there is no ball joint difference. yo uare correct in 05 they went to a bigger ball joint. i actually ahve a set of 05+ front knuckles. both are new (however one doesnt have the wheel speed sensor hole for abs) i could trade you those for jsut teh rotors and calipers if you want (and i could mail my front calipers down once i get it swapped out.) i already have svt knuckles on my focus so it would/should be a pretty straight forward affair.

then all you'd need to do is go to rockauto.com or napa and get the later year ball joint kit and drill out the rivets mounting the balljoint on your current front arms. or go to ford and buy some later model front arms.

Yes, the size of the struts did change. Thats why 00-05 suspension wont work on 06 and up cars without the omni kit... I had an 07 ST, I know this first hand, Im on my eighth focus, Ive been there, done that. Thats why they cant be 05 and up, its 05 or nothing.
i keep forgetting the inbetween **** ford likes to pull during design changes.
ok so your looking specificly for 05 knuckes, so you do not have to change struts. jsut a ball joint and knuckle.
i'm still wondering why your wanting to make the ball joint and knuckle change.

either way i know my calipers and rotors would be a direct bolt up for what you have now. the ears for mounting the brakes to teh knuckle are the same for the svt and the 05 knuckle (and the later knuckles). if your down to trade off of the race car for my fronts (they will clear 15"s) let me know.

andy i have svt knuckles to fit the rally brake kit from ford. it uses the 280mm front rotors and calipers. one of the things ford redesigned was the caliper mounting point. making it the same for all cars after 2004 when they ditched the puny 253 mm brakes

so brakes from a 2005-2011 fit the svt knuckle, since the mounting point is the same

he is looking to drop down it rotor size from teh 300mm units the svt focus has so he can run a smaller lighter wheel. i ahve no problems helping him trade i can get the superfly 300mm setup. and he gets his more race ready pieces

he is wanting the change knuckles to get the bigger ball joint, but doesnt want to run an omni kit to fit suspension pieces or find later model struts from what i understand.

gt radial champiro's are ok for the money. lanting90 and i beat the snot out of them on a racetrack and they held up pretty good. we drove there and home on the same set. and they will be going back on his car this summer. if you need all seasons go with the continental dws tires.
