Wobbly gear shift

I just bought my car like yesterday and when I left today the gear shift was extremely wobbly and it wasn't the night before. It moves a good 2 inches side to side when it's in gear and it's making it harder to find the right gear. I tried to seach and it sounds a little similar to the people having problems with getting it stuck into gear but mine shifts just fine.

Its Time to take that thing to the dealer and fast
A buddy of mine in his car (not a focus) had a loose shifter and the thing just came all the way off in TRAFFIC ,,, he was in 3rd gear and when he hit standing traffic ,,, well he couldn't move so he had to be towed at quite a cost to him
i'd say get it there pronto
but thats just my 2 penny's worth

Straight to the dealer! Get your free rental car, and let them replace what ever the...salesman/people who delievered the car/dealer workers...screwed up. I am pretty sure that every ones shifter moves very slightly side to side when in a gear (but I wouldnt be playing with it when it is in gear), but 2 inches movement is too much...take her in.
