Zetec is actually just an engine name, and contains no lobe-switching hardware like VTEC does.
The only thing you could control would be the intake cam retard/advance. This is a linear control rather than an on/off, so you'd need some controller with an adjustable rate curve to mess with the cam timing.
In short, no, Zetec is just an name, and can only be controlled using the ignition switch.. which turns it from off to on.
The Honda uses one wire that controls a solenoid. Ive never looked at our solenoid, so I dont even know how many wires there are. If it only uses one wire, Id guess its changed by a certain resistance, much like how Chrysler has a one wire door lock system (680 ohm to unlock - 1500 ohm to lock - or something like that)

Can the AFC even control our fuel or does the 02 go into open loop or something??
