I'm hoping that nothing in behind the door was damaged I noticed a bit of damage on the quarter panel but I'm hoping its just that one tiny little spot.

Guaranteed if you pull the bumper cover off that Hyundai it's allllllll messed up. Just because it "looks" fine doesn't mean it is. Chances are you came out better than they did but hopefully there is no unibody damage--that's where it gets expensive.

Glad you're okay.
Very true! My Eclipse had a bunch of rear end damage, however you would never know it by looking at it.

Thank god for insurance because it was over 4g's worth of damage.

Looked like you could fix it with some paint, lol!

its nothing a little cleaner wax wont fix and maybe a band-aid.

Not terrible... I know the feeling though... Mine went to the shop with nearly $7k in damage from a simular accident on the freeway... (simular exept speed I suppose:p) I got hit back a little further and it caved the door pillar in which in turn buckled the floor and roofline...

Yours looks like they hit you just right where its gonna be a door and fender... I doubt it'll spend anytime on the frame rack...

Glad you are ok though... Thats what is important.

I'm hoping for the best. It's one of those things though where things could be hidden, but I'm not incredibly worried about it being fixed. I know its going to get done. I mean there's a ford dealer ship about 2 miles from me that the insurance company goes through. I'm mildly curious how hard the door is going to be to open.

lol... it prolly wont be easy... but the bodyshop will handle it...

then again... if it didnt get into the door post and destroy the latch... it might not be that bad...

Anyways... they'll fix it im sure... does suck to have happen though...

Good luck with getting it taken care of.

I'm not really worried I just want to watch them open it because the way the bottom of the door is rolled up. I bet it would be entertaining to watch as they try. I wouldn't even attempt to open the door knowing my luck as of late it would open but then my door would be stuck flapping in the wind. It appears that the hinge is pretty well fubared. I was looking at it through the messed up hole in the sheet metal.

Wow, way to handle it like a champ! I know many others who would have FREAKED out on her, including myself:rant:

Good luck with the repairs, I'm sure it'll all turn out fine.
I was surprised I handled it that well myself, but I did. I think the fact that she was about to cry and was really sorry for doing made a huge difference in my attitude. There was no reason for me to yell at someone when they already felt terrible for hitting me.

Spray paint a bootprint on it ... and tell everyone Check Norris did it...

Damage total so far $3000! Her insurance is paying and I should have my car in about a week.

I should have done that, I'm not going to worry about it though I just want the car back.
