Hi all!
I had some amazing news today. I won the Dream Giveaways "Win the Mustangs" sweepstakes and will soon be the proud new owner of a matching pair of Boss Mustangs, a 1969 Boss 302 and a 2012 Patriot Edition Boss 302, a prize value of approximately $200,000. My wife and I are so excited! I'm 24 and this is really a blessing for us. I've only been a FJ member for a year, since I got my 06 ST, but I thought you all should know a member is the winner!
The giveaway benefitted the Healing Heroes Network, an organization that provides medical assistance for Iraq and Afghanistan veterans. I was happy to support the HHN, but never dreamed I'd be the winner.
Check them out: www.winthemustangs.com
Thanks!!

Sick dude. Congrats!

Oh, oh, ohhhh! I just showed you my oh face. Congratulations! That's some damn good luck! (If you have any spare luck, I'll gladly take some ;))

Wow!!! Congrats!!!!!!!!!!

You lucky bastard. I do believe you owe us pics when you take delivery of these. Feel free to send some good juju over my way.

If I rub your hair like a troll doll will I get some of that good luck? I could really use a winning lotto ticket

Thats wicked cool that you won!

I just checked out a flyer for WinTheVettes.com, which I believe is put on through the same organization. According to their terms, they also provide you with $50K in cash to go towards taxes.

They mention that individual winner's circumstances may be different. Which is to say, if you are in a higher tax bracket, you may be required to pay more than $50K, and that portion is your responsibility.

If that's the case, won't you then be considered to have received a gift of $50K in cash that would be taxed?

US taxation can be complicated. At least if it were here in Canada, it'd be tax free :)

Hey guys!
Thanks for the congrats! The deal with the contest is I get both the Mustangs tax-free, a $200,000 value, but I have to go get them from Ford HQ in Dearborn, MI, only about 8 hours drive for me. There will be a big promotional event on Aug. 7 when they'll hand me the keys and everything. By then I have to have them both insured and I have to pay to have them shipped home (and stored, obviously. they're not going to sit in my driveway.) So it will be a little cost up front, but nothing compared to what taxes would be and what I will eventually get by selling them.

Congrats! Hey, since you no longer need that ST of yours I could use an extra 2.3 donor motor...
