Here is an idea that I came up with while on my day off because of the ice storm we're having. Its pretty self explainitory....cargo net that goes on top of the trunk lid. The white rope was just used for now because I couldnt leave the driveway, but saturday im gonna swap it with either, gray or black elastic cord.

Its probably wont be a big hit with the racer crowd, but I hope to use it for smaller items when going on kayaking/ skiing trips

Once again white rope isnt permanent...till i find some dark cord

Now that we're living in a big house with a nice backyard, we've been talking about getting a dog. I was telling my mom that we wouldn't get one untill we get a second car because I don't want a dog on my seats. She looked funny and said"I thought you had seat covers?" Are you kidding me! No dog is sitting on my $500 Wet Okoles!

Hell, I even screen what friends I let sit on them!

But I really do like the cargo net idea!

i like the idea. my only concern would be that i wouldn't have a window when i came out of work. people downtown will break into your car for anything, it really sucks.

where did you get the net? i've been wanting to rig up something in the trunk on the floor.

Doesn't Ford sell an accessory cargo net already?

From what I understand, it mounts vertically at the opening. That would solve the problem of peering eyes.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">I hear ya... I am a previous Balti-moron... I live there for 13 years... I went back a year ago to do the tourist/sight-seeing thing with my girlfriend... I had a hard time leaving my foci parked anywhere downtown!!

OOh... and to stay on topic I plan on purchasing the cargo net for the SVT - It is a 70/30 split... 70% of it is the cargo net.. the other 30 is a pocket which is good for a few tools.
