The worlds first all Carbon Fibre chopper frame:

I took these pictures Sunday at the Panoz development site outside Atlanta. A customer custom ordered that from from them and obviously paid MASSIVE bucks for them to develop it.

And here I am next to the only road going version of the Panoz GTR1 coupe used in Le Mans. Yes it is driven on the roads from time to time.

I have a CRAPLOAD of pictures from the Panoz road car production site and the Panoz race car site as well. I'll try to post those sometime soon. Overall it was a cool trip.

With time. My server is giving me crap right now. Plus I have to head to work in about 30 minutes.

I got some shots of cars they were building and ones waiting for delivery. It's cool seeing the new Newman-Haas body shell sitting there, waiting to be delivered for the next race.

People have asked and they won't sell. It's well over a $1 mil car.

Dan Panoz even showed us pictures and video of the upcoming Monster Garage where Jesse James takes an Esperante and turns it into a plane. That will air in June.

that is pretty darn cool.
I know Confederate has been using more and more CF on their bikes and Ecosse has been showing off their CF tanks but I hadn't seen it enter the chopper world let alone to this extent.

I don't know if that counts as the fiiiirst though.

I haven't read the article yet, but on the cover of either Cycle World or Motorcyclist they had a production cruiser thats going to have a carbon fiber frame... Can't remember the name of it.

Might as well, since people pay rediculous amounts for those custom choppers. That one needs more leafspring though... thats gotta hurt your butt w/ no rear suspension.

That Panoz is teh sechs! *drooool*

Do they make the Esperante too? Those are pretty nice little cars with the SVT Cobra motors in there.

And yeah, that chopper frame is pretty badass.

Yes they do. There are 2 plants right down the road from each other. One for the Esperante and one for the race cars. I actually won a chance to drive an Esperante, but I let someone else from our group drive it instead and went for a ride in it.

That happened basically in my backyard!! Jesse and all of his Monster Garage guys came and ate at the restruant where I work, and there were multiple sightings of him all around the area. For a seasonal area that's alot of excitement in February!!
