If you had $5000.00 that would be dependible, newer, and possibly sporty in that order. I need some ideas here.

I was just saying what I would buy... Older 928's not so dependable, but sporty and still fast as hell, later model 944, kinks worked out, sporty, and still somewhat quick. Either of those could be had in decent condition for around $5k, but usually go for a bit more. I was really close to getting a 1957 356A, it was a complete shell, glass, and running motor, just really needed to be sanded down, painted, re-chromed, and re-upholstered.
