I had a member hear steal my cat. converter.......
I was being a nice guy and let him borrow it to get his car inspected....a few weeks later, the cat was gone, his car wasn't inspected, and no word for over a year. I'm still waiting to find him......
So I understand all the frustration from getting burned from people you should consider your friends, but you just gotta take it as it comes.

Give it some more time. US Customs is probably checking the letter to make sure it's not a weapon of mass destruction.
No seriously... it's taking a long time to get into the US sometimes. They might also seriously be trying to figure out if it's a terrorism support payment or something.

We'll see, Ill let you all know if I get it or not. When I shipped his bumper it took 4 days but it was air so maybe thats why.

but anyways Ive talked to this guy many times. I dont think he would be the type. But remember that anything coming to or from Canada takes longer.
I hope this works out, maybe hes just away from the computer or out of town or something... I would wait until monday before continuing this any further.

^ agreed. Things are taking an extremely long time to get from Canada into the US and vice versa. I just had something "Priority Post" sent on July 31st. It only got there two days ago (it normally takes 5 days max)! I can only imagine what it will take via traditional mail..
Also too that we just had a holiday this past Monday, so maybe the buyer is on vacation too.
I disagree, I think this guy is screwing him. He has posted heavily for the past month, and recently no posts in the last 5 days.
Something tells me he's avoiding the jet.

But yea best of luck to you, few thing piss me off more than long standing community members screwing other members!

yeah he doesnt seem like the kind of guy to screw people over.... isnt he selling a lot of stuff on the boards? I know his post count is high. I say wait a few more days :dunno:
I only shipped something off before payment once. That was a stock rear sway bar that I was giving away for free :lol: so I didn't care if they actually screwed me over for the $10 shipping as my mom was going to throw the damn thing out anways.

I usually try to do stuff local, which isn't too bad because I go in between Houston, Dallas, and Austin every once in a while and thats a huge population. Even when you swap the part and money instantly, sometimes there are differences on opinion of the condition of the part, so its worth it even if someone far away will pay an extra $50 for it.
Next time though, if you each pitch in $15 you can use escrow and have peace of mind. The other benefit of escrow is that the seller does NOT want to omit any information about the condition since the recipient can just return it and then both parties are out shipping cost each one way. :thumbup:

My faith in the FJ classifieds is restored ...
Somebody has to trust somebody to make this system work. I don't fault someone for sending a part ahead of the payment, as long as they are prepared for the risks. Buyers who send payment ahead of time are in the same boat. I don't see a difference.
