Woah...I wasn't expecting this. :(

I'm sad to see him pass on. My condolences to his families and friends. He will be missed by both entertainment and auto enthusiast worlds

It was Quite Expected.
He "Made the rounds" a few months ago, KNOWING that he was ready to take the Checkers...
:(

Yep he knew it was coming, which is good because he was able to transition his businesses to other folks to make sure there wasnt going to be a rush of people to pick the bones dry of all that hes built up.

A great actor, a great driver, a great ambasador to motorsports, and an inspirational philanthropist. Just not enough people like him in the world.

RIP Paul

Edit: Wonder if Bourdais who is qualifying right now in Singapore has heard the news.... if so thats gotta be distracting to hear someone you've worked with for so many years and such a good friend just passed on.

Paul will be deeply missed... sad day for all who admired him. :(

RIP Mr. Newman. Your passion for the silver screen and the tarmac will be deeply missed.

I've been a Newman Haas open wheel fan from the 90's on ward and it is sad to see American icons like Phil Hill and Paul Newman pass away before us. He well be missed by his family, friends, and fans.

Just some of the great drivers that drove under Newman Haas..

Nigel Mansell
Mario and Micheal Andretti
Sebastian Bourdais

RIP Fast Eddie Felson, you made Tom Cruise look like he was standing still.
