Hey guys

I'm new here, and new to the Focus thing. I picked up a neglected '02 SVTF. Some punk had it and tried to rice it out. Painted interior bezels, some front bumper that got torn up real bad, etc.

I've cleaned the car up and already worked on some of that neglect. I still need to buy a new front bumper, lower grill insert, foglights and hardware, and driver's heated seat element. After that I plan to lightly mod the car...:screwy:

I bought the car to use as a daily, to run from work to school, etc. I bought it for half of what it could be worth with some TLC, and I considered doubling my money, but instead, I'm keeping it. I planned on using it as a daily driver, but the more I learn about these cars, the more I realize it should be in the garage in the place of my truck!

I wanted to say hey though, I've had the car for 2 or 3 months, and had a buddy tell me about the site, and I've been here some trying to learn about these Foci. I figured I'd say hey though, and tell the story about the car ;)

Pictures......I'll get after I get the bumper and grill on in a few more weeks :) I wish I had some before pictures to show how far its came in just getting back to stock, but in a cleaner, non filthy form.

I'm in Lexington, JUST south of Mansfield. I'll have to google Hilliard to find out. Its somewhere around Columbus right?

My plans, after I get it back to stock:
Stage 2 clutch and flywheel, intake(haven't decided which style yet), rear motor mount, and that's all I know of so far ;) So if you want to help me on any of that, I'd be more than happy to accept the help! Lol

Whats your name anyways? I'm Freddie obviously

Welcome to the 'Jet!
Glad to see some more people representing the big OH!
What is the build number of your car?

Be sure to post pics in Team Rigz.

I haven't called to get the build number yet, and I would right now but I don't know if I have the VIN handy or not.

I will post pics as soon as I get my front bumper back on ;)
They should only need the last 6 or so digits.

Before and after pics are always welcome. for rescuing an SVT.
Enjoy driving the best product Ford has made in the past decade.

Thanks! Lol

I got him down to 4200 when I went to drive it, than down to 3800 ish. Then, it took 2 weeks for him to have time to get the title from the bank, and I talked him into 3200.

I have access to Ford's service records, and made sure the clutch/flywheel problem was addressed, etc...

Right now I admit I'm still driving it, without a front bumper. My grandpa's buddy owns a shop and they said they've got a red front bumper left from an SVT that was wrecked. 100$ -- but I will have to get the foglights, grill, and brackets. I've already talked to Steve -- SVTFORDPARTS about those pieces.

If anyone sees a Red SVT around central Ohio, HONK! I do hope to pick up that bumper from the shop next week sometime, IF I'm lucky. Lol I'll be running to Coshocton with it tonight, and to Brunswick tomorrow night most likely. It is SO much nicer than my truck on the highway, or corners... or just driving period ;)

Oh and another side note Lol, one of my friends called me a "ricer" when I told him I bought it. I fought off that remark. THen I let him drive it from my place back to his place, to pick up an extra set of jackstands for a weekend project, and he came back asking to buy it as is! Lol! He thought it was the funnest vehicle he'd ever driven, just as I had described to him originally.

Welcome freddie.

As with our other posts from our new members and their rides, they get to be included in our Team Rigz section. Here's the link *click here*.

Welcome Freddie. The car looks good. Can't wait to see what you have in store for it. Definitely if you need help, there are a number of folks around who will be more than willing to help. Feel free to PM me or post up if you need a hand wrenching. I live in Wooster, work in Ashland, and try to get down to Mid-Ohio whenever I can (to spectate at this point).
