true, but the EGR technically "hurts" power in most cases, so they are basically forcing you to get a tune and delete it, thus gaining you even more power than just the header upgrade. it's completely unintentional, and just a way for them to save time/money, but hey, it's still a decent piece for what you're paying IMO
Don't forget the all the extra parts to connect it to the rest of your exaust.:thumbup:

Which gets to where OBX missed a great opportunity, A ready made direct bolt in SVT header to regular Zetec kit.

Of course they don't do ANY r&d. They simply copy an exsisting piece, in the case an OEM SVT header. I'm sure the folks at OBX are totaly unaware of any of the issues brought up in this thread.:lol:

Just a new header design from people who have made decent qualiy knockoffs before.

I'm sure it works fairly well.

If you're 'waiting' to take the plunge, just do it.

of course its a gamble..I havent seen one or even "heard" of one installed as of yet....and it says it will show gains which I DOUBT....id say its a gamble.
 
I know this is a hell of a revival, but did anyone ever do a side by side comparison of this header to the oem piece? I was wondering if the primaries really are larger.
I will let you know when it gets here on friday.
I also purchased a JBA SVT header but after looking at it i dont think its the correct SVT 3 bolt flange.
I was going to try them all, no one ever really knows anything about headers for the SVT and everyone either assumes or doesnt want to spend the time/money to see what header actually works. I have a JRSC and plan on taking a look at all 3 of them. Amazon takes everything back ;-)

These pictures were taken strictly for fitment purposes.
I removed the header and will be wrapping it in dei titanium header wrap.
I will be reporting back with my thoughts and opinions.
My JBA SVT header also arrived, im working on getting a 3 flange flex pipe made so i can actually bolt it onto the car.
