SVT style OBX header, anyone seen this?

well I figure that if you use a SVT flex, you're pretty well set. But correct, other parts are needed to use htis bad boy

oh right, forgot to add that in as well. OBX probably makes a ORP as well so you could probably just use that if you wanted to stick to their brand name/price

That probably won't work. A Zetec ORP won't mate to any flexpipe if you use an SVT header. It's a lot more work than people think.

Which gets to where OBX missed a great opportunity, A ready made direct bolt in SVT header to regular Zetec kit.

Of course they don't do ANY r&d. They simply copy an exsisting piece, in the case an OEM SVT header. I'm sure the folks at OBX are totaly unaware of any of the issues brought up in this thread.:lol:

Just a new header design from people who have made decent qualiy knockoffs before.

I'm sure it works fairly well.

If you're 'waiting' to take the plunge, just do it.

of course its a gamble..I havent seen one or even "heard" of one installed as of yet....and it says it will show gains which I DOUBT....id say its a gamble.

I know this is a hell of a revival, but did anyone ever do a side by side comparison of this header to the oem piece? I was wondering if the primaries really are larger.

I will let you know when it gets here on friday.
I also purchased a JBA SVT header but after looking at it i dont think its the correct SVT 3 bolt flange.
I was going to try them all, no one ever really knows anything about headers for the SVT and everyone either assumes or doesnt want to spend the time/money to see what header actually works. I have a JRSC and plan on taking a look at all 3 of them. Amazon takes everything back ;-)

Fitment was excellent, had to move dipstick to the left SLIGHTLY:

These pictures were taken strictly for fitment purposes.
I removed the header and will be wrapping it in dei titanium header wrap.
I will be reporting back with my thoughts and opinions.
My JBA SVT header also arrived, im working on getting a 3 flange flex pipe made so i can actually bolt it onto the car.
