Ok, so I am brand new here. I live in Northern Virginia and I have a 2010 Focus SES Auto with the FSWERKS Cold Air Intake.
I Just recently noticed that when I put my car in Low drive/the sport setting it always shifts at about 5000-5200 rpm in 1st gear even on max throttle. When I put it in drive and floor it, the transmission holds gear till red-line as it should, but its shifting 1000-1500rpm early in low, what is up with this?
Needless to say its killing the fun whenever I put it in low and try to accelerate hard out of a corner or something. :(
Thanks for the help in advance.

Try posting in either the "Team Tech" or the "Shift It" forum. WELCOME TO [FJ]! This is a great community of active users, a lot of really smart, helpful people on here. And congratulations on owning a Focus, rather than following so many others and buying boring Corollas or (gasp) Civics.

"LOW" is meant more for times when you go down hills and you get engine braking and/or if you're in a situation where you need a higher RPM to hit a certain gear to maximize the engine braking and power. It's not really meant as "sport".

If you want more "kick", then you're probably going to have to have an engine/powertrain tune with an SCT scanner or the likes and have the shift points altered.
